Leveling up
If you want to level up before entering a Locations/Dungeons, go to the Locations/Irupa/Training Grounds once (or maybe a few times), using this method can level Shiren (player character) up to level 10.
If you're inside a dungeon, and need to level up quickly, here are some easy ways to do it:
- Scrolls/Paranoia can be used to level up a Monsters. Just read the Scrolls near the monster you want to make stronger, while there's also another monster nearby (preferably weaker than the first one). Once the first monster is in Paranoia status, lead both of them to a corridor, and make sure they're lined up. The first monster will attack (and kill) the monster behind, and level up as a result. If you have access to an Shields/Echo Shield, you can do a similar trick with Gaze by reflecting their hypnosis. Just keep in mind that the Paranoia States only lasts 10 turns. Once you've got a strong monster to kill, use something like a Staves/Paralysis, then one or two Herbs/Dragon. Throwing a bag of Gitan can work pretty well too.
- A Staves/Doppelganger is also a good way to level up monsters. Just swing this staff at an enemy, then wait for a monster to come and kill it. You can then use your items to defeat the resulting monster.
- Though it isn't very easy to find, using a Staves/Happiness is the fastest way to level up monsters and gain lots of experience.
- While wearing a Armbands/Trap, you can increase a monster's multiplier to get more experience after killing it. Read the Strategy Guides/Trap Strategy to know how to use this armband.
