'''List of Ground Maps''' in {{SuperMDTitle}}. They can be loaded in the game through hacking tools by running the function MAP:DynamicLoadGroundMap(SymMap("EV_000_DOKOKA")) through a lua file in the game, replacing EV_000_DOKOKA with the desired ground map name. Previously loaded maps can be unloaded by running MAP:DynamicUnloadGroundMap(). Trying to walk in a map loaded through this method crashes the game on real hardware, but not necessarily on emulators. The map names are taken from the file scr_map_database.bin. Loading the map through this method only loads the graphics. Collisions, warps, music, characters, and events are not loaded, opening the Connection Orb or using the option to return to the spawning location fully restores the original map.

Map names that begin with "EV", likely standing for event, indicate that the map is meant for a cutscene and not meant for the player to move around in, while "TW", likely standing for town, indicate that the player is meant to walk around the map. There is one exception with the road that leads to the school, which is only seen during cutscenes, and is skipped when simply walking through Serene Village.
