MDFW - The Mystery Dungeon Tree of Information.
WiiWare (Japanese: Wiiウェア) was a platform for the digital distribution of games of small size on the Wii. Titles were officially bought and downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel, and installed to the console's internal memory or, following an eventual system update, an external SD card, although some internal memory still needed to be free in order to play the game, if it was installed externally. Games distributed through this method were usually specifically made for this platform, as it came with its own technical limitations, more specifically, a limit on the maximum file size, caused by the internal memory of the Wii itself, which was particularly small compared to the home console competitors of the era. It is similar to the Wii Virtual Console, which was dedicated to digital rereleases of titles originally published on older hardware instead of original games made specifically for the Wii. The platform was operated by Nintendo.
