The Nigiri Baby (Japanese: にぎり見習い) Monster Family in /
Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate (2020) consists of:
The Night counterpart family is the Foul Nigiri Morph Family.
Instead of attacking, an onigiri monster can turn your items or you into onigiri:
Nigiri Baby does not have any special abilities.
If a pot turns into an onigiri, all content is lost. Blessed items have a high chance of resisting being turned into onigiri.
Being in the Onigiri state is dangerous, as you can't use items, including your equipment. You will still get revived if you have Revival Grass or Undo Grass, and being revived clears the Onigiri status.
Given that both effects of onigiri monsters can potentially be devastating, it is best to disable or kill these monsters (except for the level 1 form) from a distance. All onigiri monsters can be instantly defeated by a thrown onigiri.
The Anti-Onigiri shield Rune prevents all effects from onigiri monsters.
