The Popster Tank (Japanese: オヤジ戦車) Monster Family in  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 3 - The Sleeping Princess and the Karakuri Mansion consists of:

1. Popster Tank (Japanese: オヤジ戦車)
2. Dadster Tank (Japanese: ガンコ戦車)
3. Grizzled Tank (Japanese: ゴウジョウ戦車)
4. Oldster Tank (Japanese: イッテツ戦車)

Monster Ability

• Level 1: Moves at half speed. Fires a cannon that does a fixed 20 damage.
• Level 2: Moves at normal speed. Fires a cannon that does a fixed 30 damage.
• Level 3: Moves at double speed. Fires a cannon that does a fixed 40 damage.
• Level 4: Moves at double speed and attacks twice. Fires a cannon that does a fixed 50 damage.

Their explosions can kill other monsters, and level them up in the process, making them even more dangerous. The blasts from their cannons also destroy walls, creating a greater area in corridors for other monsters to assist or become fodder for their cannons. They're at their most dangerous in the large rectangular rooms with 3 smaller rooms on either side of the main room. Extreme caution should be used in these rooms when the Popster Tank Family is present, as they can do a lot of damage at a great distance.

One benefit of their attacks is the explosions they cause will turn any Riceballs into Toasted Riceballs. Rheyinof as filling as the other varieties, but they restore HP. The downside is they may also turn Monster Meat into Cooked Meat, which still restores fullness, but loses rhe ability to transform the consumer into a monster.

Special Drops

• Dadster Tank may drop Cannonballs on defeat.

Combat Strategy

The Popster Tank family is extremely dangerous, and should be taken out with extreme prejudice. It's best to nullify them with Staves or Spells.
