Gameplay Mechanics

According to the official website page for the game, it featured 200 monsters, "3x as many monsters as previous games."[1] It was also the first to include monster level-ups. It's a disingenuous way to promote the monster-level mechanic, as the sprite changes are not distinct monsters.

  • Treasure Room(UT) (Japanese: 財宝部屋)
    • Not a Gitan Vault. It features other items.
    • Appears on floor 10.
    • Prominent features Gitan, though it also includes a Herb, Scroll, Weapon, and Shield.

The second news article features images not even on the MDFW. Make a note of the additional monsters. The Dwango site mentions the Dead Soldier as well.

  • 3x as many monsters may imply that monsters only level up to 3. If so, that also means those that occasionally only have one level, such as Dead Soldier.
  • No screenshots depict the Popster Tank Family, but the news article showed official artwork of it, implying it's in the game.
