The Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja Wiki, also known as the "Izuna: The Unemployed Ninja Wiki", or simply the "Izuna Wiki" was created on February 20, 2020, on Gamepedia by Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki Admin Jubilee. The wiki was created due to a desire to see the Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja Series documented, but saw little editing beyond the initial setup. The wiki's skin was designed by Gamepedia Staff, with input from Jubilee to see it use images taken from the official websites for Izuna, as well as to give the impression that the reader had unfurled, and was reading a Japanese scroll.
After the announcement of "IZUNA (tentative title)" in 2023, the "Fandom" (formerly the Gamepedia version) of the site was deleted at the request of Jubilee. The indie version of the wiki was also subsequently deleted due to issues with the .css, lack of activity, server space concerns, and being unable to edit the site in general. The wiki was brought back online on July 11, 2025 by Adkuate, and Jubilee, with Jubilee working on cleaning up the wiki to MDFW standards, and both admins correcting the css issues until the site resembled its original Gamepeia incarnation.
As the wiki is a Sister-wiki of the Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki, and initially hosted by the Baskerville Archive, it uses the MDFW/BA-Wiki formatting, but is otherwise considered its own wiki with its own articles, history, and identity.
