Combat Strategy?
Is there a section talking about combat against this Pokémon when this Pokémon is the enemy of the dungeon? Or would that be more appropriate in the Dungeon Walk-Throughs because different dungeons include different-leveled Pokémon with different moves? -Unsigned comment by (67.188.12.20)
- There should be a combat section on each Pokémon's page to fill out. I don't know that we have any dungeon walkthrough's or strategy for these games as these pages are still being set up. Jubilee (talk) 09:31, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that the combat section would be about how to use the Pokémon due to the statement of the "optimal moveset" and such. I feel like it may be more prudent to include it in the walkthrough of the dungeon because fighting Pokémon at different levels can be very different. I believe that Walkthroughs are one section of the Explorers project page iirc. 67.188.12.20 16:13, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Every game has strategy sections but we have very few to no writers on this wiki and most people don't contribute directly. 4 of the biggest contributors are still here, but not editing frequently at the moment (mystelf, Yggy, Adkuate and Blue) and the other 3 have moved on (Rhaining, Shiren1111, Zapped Ampharos). I'm still trying to clean up the wiki from its porting from Gamepedia while also managing 3 other wikis and my own life. Strategy isn't my strong suit so I haven't put the least bit of thought into that sections existence. The Pokémon pages can/should have strategy though, so everything useful relating to that Pokémon can be found on a single page. I don't like the idea of telling somebody to go to a dozen different pages for strategy info.Jubilee (talk) 18:35, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Wait wasn't ZappedAmpharos that user who made the levelup stats FAQ? Anyways, in the Pokémon page, should we have a section for each dungeon where this Pokémon is encountered to provide combat strategy? For example, in Glameow's case, would we have a separate section for Destiny Tower, Zero Isle West, Zero Isle South, and Crystal Crossing due to some differences in levels at those locs contributing to different battle strategies? 67.188.12.20 19:46, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- If you (or anybody else) want to fill it out, feel free to make a subpage Explorers/Glameow/Combat Strategy and link to it on the main page under the combat section. - What is your main argument for why we should include the combat strategy on the Pokémon's pages as opposed to the dungeon's pages or the dungeon's walkthrough? I feel like if we include it in the Pokémon's page, it may cause some more clutter, as I'd assume that a user would more likely search up the dungeon as opposed to the dungeon's problem enemy.
