Category:Dungeon Types

These dungeon types are fan terms and in no way official. These were created to better categorize and find dungeons of a similar type. The following hierarchy should be used to determine which category should be used for the dungeons Key Parameters Table.

Dungeon types should be determined by the first type that fits them the best. The main category should be used for the Key Parameters Table but everything else should be added as a category at the bottom of the page.

• Tutorial Dungeon
• Story Dungeon
• Final Dungeon
• Trap Dungeon
• Food Dungeon
• Gimmick Dungeon: Non food and trap dungeons.
• Post-credits Dungeons: Non-gimmick Post-credits dungeons.
• Bonus Dungeons: Dungeons added as bonuses to ports and re-releases of the various Shiren titles.

Examples

KP will be used for the Key Parameters Table and everything else will be listed after.

Road to the Hamlet (Shiren 1 NDS)

• KP: Tutorial Dungeon
  • Bonus Dungeon

This is a tutorial dungeon added to the DS port of Shiren 1. It's also a bonus dungeon but tutorial dungeons take precedent over bonus dungeons.

This is Shiren (Shiren 3 PSP)

• KP: Bonus Dungeon

This dungeon is unlocked during the story but isn't a required dungeon. It's not a tutorial dungeon or Post-credits dungeon and can only loosely be considered a gimmick dungeon.

Tonfan Dungeon (Magic Castle of the Desert)

• KP: Food Dungeon
  • Gimmick Dungeon
  • Post-credits dungeon

This is a Post-credits dungeon but it falls under the food dungeon category before all others.

Blacksmith's Furnace (Magic Castle of the Desert)

• KP: Gimmick Dungeon
  • Post-credits Dunegon

This is a dungeon unlocked during the Post-credits and has serious game-modifying gimmicks which place it before its Post-credits status.

Tainted Path (Shiren 1 NDS)

• KP: Bonus Dungeon
  • Post-credits Dungeon

This dungeon was added as a bonus dungeon to the DS port of Shiren 1 and is unlocked during the post-credits. The bonus dungeon status has been chosen over the Post-credits Dungeon status due to the inclusion of extra boss fights and features.
