Shiren 1 DS:Trap
Traps are found on the floors and cause various effects when tripped. They cannot be seen unless stepping on them, swiping with a sword over them, or eating an Herb of Sight. Normally, monsters will not be affected by traps.
If Shiren wears a Trap Armband, however, the reverse occurs. Shiren will be able to see traps and avoid them, and monsters will be affected by traps, although some effects will change (see table below). Shiren will also be able to pick up, place, and trigger traps. If Shiren has traps in his inventory but is not wearing a Trap Armband, they will become Broken Traps when leaving the floor. (See Broken Trap Recycling for more info.)
Floating monsters will not be affected by traps unless Shiren reads a Super Trap Scroll or throws the traps.
