A prototype version of the Wigglytuff Guild entrance area.

Prototype Content of Nintendo DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness as seen in pre-release screenshots.

Locations

In-development screenshots were shared by Chunsoft on their website for the game. Differences can be noticed in the environment graphics.

Beach

The two rocks on the beach were larger, had a darker color, different position, and had different shadows. A small patch of grass was nearby.

Entrance

The entrance was missing the totem poles. The tent had different lighting. Brown circles could be seen in the area, possibly as placeholders for the totem poles.

Pokémon

In one screenshot, Wigglytuff's sprite had blue eyes and its portrait was a sea green color. In another, it had black eyes and its right eye was misshapen. In the final game, Wigglytuff's portrait had emerald green eyes and green eyes on its sprite.

Job Completion Event

During events that happen after completing Jobs the Pokémon's dialogue portrait wasn't displayed. This is also how it worked in Template:GameTitle, where most Pokémon didn't have portraits.
