General Information
Pekeji (Japanese: ペケジ) claims to be your brother separated at birth. He asks to join you on later playthroughs after several events.
Quests
Rescue Pekeji
Leveling Pekeji Up:
Pekeji levels up each time he joins you, so by continually adventuring with him, he can eventually become one of your strongest party members. Pekeji will occasionally ask for a riceball. If you do not throw one to him, he will "give up" and stop defending himself or moving. If you go to the next floor at this time, he will be left behind. If Pekeji is hungry, but is still moving, moving to a new floor will reset his hunger. Doing this can allow you to avoid wasting your riceballs. As Pekeji levels, he asks for riceballs less often. You do not need to feed him a riceball for him to level.
In addition, Pekeji will occasionally punch you by accident when in combat. For this reason, it is a good idea not to stand next to him while he is fighting. As he levels up, Pekeji will punch you less often.
Pekeji as a party member:
Pekejii has the special ability to perform critical strikes.
When Pekeji states he has been training under a waterfall, and has become a new man, he has reached his highest level. At his highest level, he will no longer punch you or ask for food.

Notes:
Pekeji can level up without being given rice balls. [Supreme Dirt: Confirmed. I tried it. He successfully fully leveled up.]
