Template:Infobox PokémonPikachu (ピカチュウ Pikachu) is a Generation 1 pure Electric-type Pokémon, and is available as one of the player or partner Pokémon. Pikachu can be chosen as the player if the Personality test yields either the Impish (for males) or Hardy (for females) Nature. It evolves from Pichu when it has 6 ★ stars for IQ level (200 IQ points) and again into Raichu when an additional Thunderstone is used. Its size is small, hence only taking up one slot when joining the party.
It has normal mobility, meaning it cannot traverse through water, lava and cloud tiles and walls without the assistance of a mobility-enhancing item or a certain IQ skill. Pikachu are exclusive to Lightning Field with a recruit rate of -19%. An alternative method to recruiting Pikachu is through evolution, though the aforementioned dungeon is a more preferable method to getting Pikachu.
