Chatot is first seen in Chapter 2 of the main story. He is one of the NPCs that offer the player character and the partner Pokémon tutorials on how to accept jobs at the Job Bulletin Board and Outlaw Notice Board. He is present in nearly every chapter.

Chatot is first seen in Chapter 2 of the main story. He is one of the NPCs that offer the player character and the partner Pokémon tutorials on how to accept jobs at the Job Bulletin Board and Outlaw Notice Board. He is present in nearly every chapter. Chatot is also a character in Special Episodes: "Bidoof's Wish", "Igglybuff the Prodigy", and "Today's "Oh my Gosh"".

Chatot is seen in a Connection Orb mission escorting Guildmaster Wigglytuff on a mission. He can be recruited.
