An English fan translation of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2: Oni Invasion! Shiren Castle! began development in 2019. The game was translated by SharkSnack, while the technical hacking side was handled by Ozidual. The first full version was released through ROMhacking.net on September 26, 2021, on the eve of the twenty-first anniversary of the original release of the game.[1]
