The following list of glitches and bugs are or were present in Rescue Team DX. Some of them could have been fixed in later updates.[1]

List of bugs

Minor bugs

  • About a dozen instances of people's play time glitching out and appearing as 999:59. This has several apparent causes. Sometimes it happens on save files that have had their data transferred over from the demo. It also appears to be caused by downloading back up data from the cloud, changing the clock or it happened after someone downloaded the update for Rescue Team DX.[2][3][4]
  • Two cases of a Swampert loading without their textures and appearing as rainbow static instead.[2]
  • Feraligatr's walking animation froze and starts stuttering.[2]
  • A case where the player can clip through the wall and ends up behind Makuhita in the Makuhita Dojo.[2]
  • The Mt. Steel's Skarmory (character) cutscene loading with Eevee facing backwards.[2]
  • The B button occasionally doesn't open the toolbox as well as other input lag.[2][5][6]
  • In the cutscene where the partner shows the player around Pokémon Square, the screen stutters, particularly when running past the Kecleon Shop and Lombre (character), and from between the Gulpin Link Shop and Kangaskhan Storage.[2]
  • At the cutscene, where Team A.C.T. is introduced, sometimes Charizard (character) or Tyranitar (character) is facing wrong way.[5][7]
  • If you delete any rescue jobs, that you have accepted from mailbox/bulletin board before completing them, fainted Pokémon, which you can give Apple, may no longer be able to spawn in the dungeons. If you are not sure your own skills, make sure that you only pick rescue jobs from Locations, that you can actually clear.[5][8]
  • In the demo, the screen darkens if the player quickly quits the Kecleon Shop menu instead of brighten the screen back after you leave.[9]

Crashes

  • A softlock happens when the team faints in a dungeon and their rescue request expired.[2][10][11]
  • Switching leaders too often with + button might cause game crash, where error message appears to screen and close the game. Since game autosaves after every movement/action in the dungeon, the player don't lose your progress. This can likely to happen in Buried Relic, if you search buried items inside the walls and constantly swap your leader to teammate, who can go through the walls to pick items.[5]
  • If player talks to Wigglytuff (character) or Gulpin (character) in Pokémon Square, the game has a small chance to crash.[5]
