These are all the known differences between the Broadcast Satellaview version of Shiren 1 and the original.

Locations

BS Canyon Hamlet

  • The Inn is closed with a sign that says "宿屋「旅ガラス」閉店中" The Inn "The Traveling Crow" is closed.[1]
  • The building model to the left doesn't exist as a building in the left matches the Inn from the DS remake to a degree. It lacks the wooden beams running from left to right and a hanging banner. The only building in the original release that lacked a signpost directly in front of it was Fay's Puzzle House.
  • The signpost that normally displays the players Table Mountain scores now says "右、BSの洞窟入口" or Right, Cave of BS Entrance."
  • The bushes to the left have been re-arranged into more of a vertical pattern.
  • The entrance to the Hamlet has been removed entirely.
  • There are only 2 trees in the Hamlet as opposed to the 3 originally present and there's fewer trees around the border.

Cave of BS (Week 1)

The early floors of the Cave of BS are entirely different from the floors of Table Mountain. Instead of being a forest or stream setting or the side of a mountain, they're all cave locations. You don't make a pit stop in BS Bamboo Village and your dungeon score is tallied after floor 7 where you stop in BS Mountaintop Town.[2]

BS Mountaintop Town

  • There's only 2 buildings and only 1 can be entered. The storehouse.
  • The entire southern part of the town is blocked off by inaccessible buildings.

Cave of BS (Week 2)

BS Cryptic Rock Valley

Cave of BS (Week 3)

BS Underground Stream Village

Cave of BS (Week 4)

BS Golden City

Aside from not being able to access the entire Golden City, the only difference is the presence of Gaibara in the room.

Items

Cave of BS (Week 1)

The BS倉庫の壺 (English: BS Storehouse Jar) functions the same as the normal storehouse jar but has been renamed. It can be found as early as floor 2 of the Cave of BS.[2]

Notes

The BS Storehouse Jar has only been seen on week 1, floor 2 so far but could appear elsewhere.
