This page covers the story of Spike Chunsoft's original series with the Mystery Dungeon franchise, Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. Though there is a linear story for the eponymous protagonist and his friends and foes, there are no years for when it happened. Fans of the series have made theories of when it could have occurred thanks to hints and details found throughout the series.

Years
In all games, there are no mentions of which years the series began. However, details found in its series, especially in Template:Shiren3, may indicate that it happens in the 18th century.[1]
