Title and Release
Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon, originally titled トルネコの大冒険 不思議のダンジョン (Torneko no Daibōken: Fushigi no Dungeon), is a Dragon Quest IV spin-off game that was developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix for the Super Famicom on September 19, 1993 in Japan only. It is the first game of Torneko's Mystery Dungeon games as well as the first Mystery Dungeon game to be released.
The game features Torneko, a merchant first encountered in Dragon Quest IV<nowiki\>'s third chapter, in a story set after the end of the aforementioned game where he wishes to make his store famous by venturing through mystery dungeons so he could retrieve valuable items to stock in his store.
