For the lore page, see Pkmn:HP.

HP (Japanese: ???) is a stat in Nintendo 3DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. It is separated between current HP and Maximum HP. Current HP decreases when taking damage, when walking through walls or when using some Moves, and if it reaches 0, the Pokémon faints. Current HP can be restored with items or moves, or by spending turns on a floor with the Clear dungeon status. Maximum HP can increase permanently from leveling up or by using some items, or temporarily by holding the Heart Pendant. Maximum HP can decrease by leveling down. Maximum HP can permanently increase to 500. The temporary increase from the Heart Pendant can still be applied even if that limit is reached, making the real limit 550.
