IQ (Japanese: かしこさ, smartness) is a stat in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.
Each Pokémon belongs to an IQ Group, which determines which IQ Skills the Pokémon learns and how much IQ is required for them. The IQ of enemy Pokémon depends on the dungeon, while the IQ of Pokémon in the player's team can be increased through a variety of methods.
Increasing IQ
Eating Gummis
Gummis are items that increase a Pokémon's IQ when eaten. Depending on a Pokémon's Types, a Pokémon will have different taste in Gummis. If they like a Gummi, it will increase IQ more compared to a Gummi they dislike or are neutral to. The IQ increase from one of these Gummis is between 5 and 1.
Unlike other Gummis, the Wonder Gummi increases the IQ by 15 regardless of the Pokémon's Types. Not to be confused with the Lookalike Item Wander Gummi.
Nectar
Nectar is an item that increases a Pokémon's IQ by 10 when eaten.
Juice Bar Nectar
Juice Bar Nectar increases IQ by 10.
Holding the IQ Booster
The IQ Booster is an item that increases that increases the IQ of a Pokémon that holds it while exploring a dungeon. The IQ increase depends on the dungeon and floor that is explored.
Enemy IQ
Enemy IQ can be different depending on the dungeon and floor.
