The Herb of Life (Japanese: 命の草) is a herb introduced to the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1. Consuming it grants +3 to Shiren's max HP. Shiren's current HP will not be increased by eating an Herb of Life. Throwing and hitting a Monster with an Herb of LIfe will have no unusual effect... that is, unless the monster is a Ghost-type. Hitting a Ghost-type monster with an Herb of Life will cause 50 HP of damage to that monster.
