Template:Infobox Armbands (Shiren 1) The Armband of Loss (Japanese: たれ流しの腕輪) is an armband introduced in the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1. Wearing this armband will cause Shiren to drop a random unequipped item every 8 - 11 steps. This is one of the more common negative armbands to come across, and its purpose is to make identifying unidentified armbands in dungeons more dangerous or risky. Identifying this armband is extremely simple, as you will see one of your items appear on the ground shortly after equipping it. After you identify it, it can be safely unequipped and ignored for the rest of your run, as there is no truly beneficial way to utilize this armband.

Since cursed armbands effects do not work while equipped in this game, this armband does a poor job of hindering the player. At worse, you may make the poor decision to equip it at a risky time, such as being near a Popster Tank family monster, which may then destroy your item that falls out.

Tips for use

  • If you have the spare inventory space, you can keep it around just to sell it at a shop as it fetches a very generous 1,500 Gitan.
  • You can throw this at a monster to do a paltry 2 damage to them, which can be possibly relevant in the right situation.
  • If you are so inclined, you can start a dungeon run with this armband equipped to undergo a very tedious personal challenge run where you leave this armband equipped the entire time and try to survive to the end.
