After clearing the game, the player is informed that something weird is going on with [[Rescue Team/Snubbull (character)|Snubbull]]. When they reach the [[Rescue Team/Whiscash Pond|Whiscash Pond]], they see [[Rescue Team/Alakazam (character)|Alakazam]] with a 'new' Pokémon. The 'new' Pokémon is Snubbull, but found himself changed after going into a opening of the stepping rocks on the pond. Alakazam introduces him to the player, saying he had evolved and he'll be powered up. After this happened, the cave under the rocks, [[Rescue Team/Luminous Cave|Luminous Cave]], is opened. By entering the cave, the Pokémon can evolve.

In order to evolve a Pokémon, the player needs to enter Luminous Cave from the Whiscash Pond area with said Pokémon as the leader, as evolution can't happen anywhere else in the game. The Pokémon needs to satisfy its evolution requirements, such as surpassing a certain level or having a specific [[Rescue Team/Items|item]].
#Because the cave is too small, only one Pokémon can enter. The Pokémon that the player wants to evolve must be the leader.
#The Pokémon that doesn't evolve by [[Level|leveling]] up has new methods of evolution:

Although the Pokémon had evolved, there will not be any immediate effect aside from appearance changes. Stat changes will occur when the Pokémon rises in level. If the Pokémon is already Level 100 when evolving, it must eat Doom Seeds to drop in level, then Leveled Up again.

After the meteor is destroyed, the player is informed that something weird is going on with Snubbull. When they reach the Whiscash Pond, they see Alakazam with a 'new' Pokémon. The 'new' Pokémon is Granbull, a new form taken by Snubbull after reaching Luminous Cave from an opening of the stepping rocks on the pond.
