Friend Areas (Japanese: ともだちエリア) are small areas in Template:GameTitle where recruited Pokémon appear.
Friend Areas are purchased from Wigglytuff, at the Wigglytuff Club found in Pokémon Square. Most of them will not be able to be purchased until the player finishes the main story while others can automatically be obtained once the player recruits a certain Pokémon, such as how Stratos Lookout is unlocked after recruiting Rayquaza. The Friend Area of the Partner and the Hero themselves will also be obtained automatically at the beginning of the game.
Features
Friend areas allow the player to visit recruited Pokémon in their natural habitats, as well as feed the Gummis, give or take items, make them the Leader (Post credits), change the flag (After Smeargle joins the team.), and Dismiss Pokémon
Flavor Text
When spoken to, Pokémon will have flavor text.
- It appears to be a little sleepy but it's still full of energy.
- It may want a Gummi.
- It appears to be very anxious to go on an adventure.
- It looked pensive for a moment but it's grinning widely again.
- It's looking this way with a grin.
- It appears very eager to go to a dungeon.
- It appeared to have been worried but seems to have solved it.
- It suddenly appears to be deep in thought.
- It suddenly turned fidgety.
- Its mood appears to have changed.
- It appears to be a little tense.
- It is relaxing at its favorite spot.
- It is very happy!
- It's trying to keep a straight face but it can't stop laughing!
- It is grinning happily.
- It appears to be very happy!
- It appears to like this place a lot!
- It seems to be full of energy!
