Your weapon is one of the most vital items in the game, side by side with your shield. While it's possible to get a ways with fists alone, going into a dungeon without a proper weapon will be a death sentence. There are plenty of other items that will help you through dungeons but you will need to craft a few different weapons to beat this game.

All weapons have a basic damage value (Str), a current damage bonus(+X) as well a maximum possible bonus (Max). Reading an Air Bless Scroll, or visiting the Blacksmith will increase the current bonus (up to Max), while Rust Traps and some Monsters can reduce it (down to -Str). Rarely a scroll or Blacksmith will add +3 Str to your weapon. Some weapons have intrinsic special abilities (seals), from turning monsters into meat, to critical hits, to digging, to something as simple as increased damage vs. certain types of monsters. Using a Melding Jar or a Mixer family monster, abilities can be melded into a single blade, a vital key to creating a powerful weapon.

根性の竹刀	Bamboo Sword of Spirit						Asuka's power goes up when she uses it.
こんぼう	Cudgel						A primitive weapon carved from hard wood with iron spikes attached.
サトリのつるはし	Adamant Pickaxe						This can be used to dig through walls, and is very sturdy. (It will never break)
車輪のやいば	Sword of Wheel						Asuka can throw it. (Not disappear.)
成仏のカマ	Sickle Slayer						A sword that deals higher damage to the undead.
衰弱の枝	Branch of Weakness						It makes monsters weak.
使い捨ての剣	Fragile Edge						It begins with high attack power, but weakens as it is used.
つるはし	Pickaxe						This can be used to dig through walls, but it is very fragile.
鉄扇	Steel Fan						A large fan made of iron that seems made for attacking, not fanning. When fanned out, it also provides some protection.
天神楽ノ剣
どうたぬき	Mastersword						Forged by a swordsmith named Doutanuki Genba. Its blade is thicker and more powerful than a katana.
ドラゴンキラー	Dragonkiller						A sword that deals higher damage to dragons.
ドレインバスター	Drain Buster						A sword that deals higher damage to drain-type monsters.

にきリへんげの劍	Rice Changer's Sword						It can sometimes turn monsters into riceballs.
如意棒	Bamboo Spear						Asuka steps back when she hits something.
背水の剣	Sword of Critical Moment						It causes critical hits when Asuka's HP is 1/10.
秘剣カブラステギ	Kabra Reborn						A steel sword crafted by the master swordsmith, Kabra, long ago. It is rumored to be the finest sword ever forged.
必中の剣	Homing Blade						It is a weak sword, but it's also 100% accurate.
1ツ目殺し	Cyclops Killer						A sword that deals higher damage to one-eyed monsters.
ふっとびハンマー	Lucky Hammer						It knocks monsters 3 squares back.
マリンスラッシャー	Marine Slasher						It is effective to kill monsters in the water.
三日月刀	Crescent Arm						A sword that deals higher damage to exploding monsters.
ミノタウロスの斧	Minotaur's Axe						Can sometimes score a critical hit. Occasional drop from Taur family monsters.
モーニングスター	Morning Star						It can hit all monsters around Asuka.
ヤリ	Spear
妖刀かまいたち	Razor Wind						A katana that deals damage to the three forward-facing directions.
黄泉水底ノ鎖	Chain on the Bed of Styx						It has many skills.
龍神剣	Ryujin's Sword						It's very effective at killing dragons.

• This page is based off the Shiren 3 weapons page. It's currently unknown if Mixer monsters are in this game or what the melding limitations (if any) are in this game.

• The 1ツ目殺し (Cyclops Killer) is listed in other games in the series as 一ツ目殺し.
• The Morning Star works the same as the Shiren exclusive item "爆裂金棒 (Charged Rod SH) - The power stored in this weapon will splash damage onto the squares surrounding its intended target." from Shiren 3.
• The item ヤリ (Spear) is a correct translation but it doesn't have a counterpart in any English translated release that's logged currently.

• The Lucky Hammer is named in Shiren 3 but is only a one time use, quest item.
