Development Oversights entails spelling errors, translation errors, bugs, glitches, and other aspects of unintended gameplay. This page covers Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon for the Super Famicom.

Minor Bugs

  • Resetting the game after Torneko falls asleep will automatically wake him up once the player loads the same save.
  • After the player upgrades the base to its final level, they can exploit the game by having an infinite amount of Big Bread by restarting the game. Nene will give Torneko a Big Bread every time the save is loaded.
  • If the player restarts the game after selecting "Down" on the stairs tile when they fall in a pit, when they accumulate 1,613 turns or fall to the next floor due to an earthquake, the game will think Torneko is exhausted.
  • If the player takes the King's Jewelry Box, selects "Go up" on the stairs tile of the first floor, then restarts the game, the high score's UI will be shown in black, hiding the background showing Torneko escaping the dungeon.
  • If the player presses the button at the same time as when the branding iron with Torneko's face is marked on the title screen, the screen's colors become abnormal. This bug remains in the menu screen, and in the village. The effect resets when a dungeon is entered.
  • On floors 50, 70, 80, 90, and 99 of Mysterious Dungeon, the Trap Scroll does not function properly.
