The Armband of Calm (Japanese: 混乱よけの腕輪) is an Armband introduced in the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1.

Wearing this armband will prevent Shiren from being inflicted with the 'Confused' status.

An Armband of Calm will protect Shiren from all causes of confusion:

The effect of this armband also persists in towns, but not while Shiren is a monster, or inflicted with the 'Riceball' status.

The effect of an Armband of Calm is included in several "rescue reward" armbands: the Alertness Armband, the Clear Armband, and the Warding Armband.

Limitations

An Armband of Calm can prevent the player from initially becoming confused, but will not cure this status if equipped while confused.

Tips for use

  • With an Armband of Calm equipped, Herbs of Confusion without becoming confused and can safely be used to replenish current Fullness.
  • Equip an Armband of Calm while fighting Daze Radishes to avoid confusion, which will also prevent the monster from throwing Poison Herbs.
