The Herb of Victory (Japanese: 無敵草) is a herb introduced io the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1. Eating an Herb of Victory will make Shiren invincible to damage for 20 turns. The effect from an Herb of Victory does not protect against other non-damaging effects (from Traps, spells, Herbs, Monsters, etc). When thrown at a monster or NPC, this herb will impart its effect to them, making them invincible for 20 turns.

Tips for use

  • This herb is one of the penultimate tools to utilize during any critical turn, and often should be used as a near guaranteed way to survive any situation that can get you killed.
  • If you are creating your own monster house with a monster scroll, especially if there are dangerous monsters such as Fear Radish's on the floor, it can be a good idea to eat this herb the turn before reading the scroll. This will grant you some leeway in tackling the monster house.
