Forging (Japanese: 鍛冶) in Etrian Mystery Dungeon is a service in Chano Retail that apply to weapons and shields. Forge is unlocked after reporting the quest "Fort construction test".

To forge a weapon or a shield, you must use materials depending on the item. Forge adds effects, such as resistance or stats increases, in free slots. Effects added by forging can be overwritten by other effects by reusing forging. Some weapons and shields already have effects by default, they cannot be replaced. The different forging effects are unlocked by increasing the Market District and completing quests.
