Wagons
After reaching the Cryptic Rock Valley, Gara the Wagoner appears in the Canyon Hamlet and opens the wagon services. The wagons allow Shiren to travel to set destinations without having to travel through Table Mountain. The only town you can't reach via wagon is the Underground Stream Village, possibly due to it being the only location to not be the entrance to a dungeon, although it could also have something to do with the ease of exploiting the village shop which sells rarer items than the other town shops.
