Shiren the Wanderer 5 Plus: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate added numerous updates and content that are not present in the original Nintendo DS game.

The game is available in English and in multiple languages only in the PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch and Steam version of Shiren the Wanderer 5, making it the third game to be available in English after Shiren the Wanderer DS and Shiren the Wanderer 3: The Sleeping Princess of the Karakuri Mansion.

The following dungeons have been added to Shiren 5 Plus:

Via Wi-Fi patches

The following dungeons were added via downloadable patches only in the Japanese version of Shiren 5 Plus's post-release. They are all present in the English version without needing to download an update of any sort. They will be available immediately in the Nintendo Switch port of the game as well:

  1. ガマラの逆襲 (English: Froggo's Fury) added via a patch on June 11, 2015.
  2. 玄人の足跡 (English: Master's Footprint) added via a patch on July 9, 2015.
  3. オーラの遺跡 (English: Aura Ruins) added via a patch on August 6, 2015.
  4. 二撃の道 (English: Double Strike Trail) added via a patch on August 6, 2015.
  5. 眠りの大地 (English: Sleeping Lands) added via a patch on August 6, 2015.
  6. あらしの森 (English: Storm Forest) added via a patch on September 10, 2015.
  7. 食いしん坊の館 (English: Gorger's Manor) added via a patch on September 10, 2015.
  8. モンスター集会所 (English: Monster Hotspot) added via a patch on October 8, 2015.
  9. 波乱の岩場 (English: Perilous Rocks) added via a patch on December 1, 2015.
  10. ワナ師の箱庭 (English: Trapper's Sandbox) added via a patch on December 1, 2015.
