Shiren 1 DS:Oryu the Blinder

Template:Infobox Allies (Shiren 1) Oryu (Japanese: お竜, Dragon), also referred as Oryu the Blinder or Oryu the Blinding Woman, is a travelling woman that that blinds people she encounters.

Oryu's origins has started from the original Shiren the Wanderer.

Encountering Oryu

When the player first talk to her, she has the name 'woman' (Japanese: 女). She will ask Shiren to close his eyes. If he agrees, she will blind him and disappear from the map. After doing this to you 2 to 3 times, she can be encountered in Bamboo Village where a crowd of people she blinded before are confronting her. Should the player defeat them and rescue her, she will offer to join Shiren as an ally. Party members are not guaranteed to show up during adventures.

Party member

Oryu's Special ability is to blind enemies. This causes them to walk in a straight line until they hit a wall, after which they will move randomly. They will attack anything in their way, including other monsters. In addition, blinded enemies cannot use their special abilities, making Oryu excellent at disabling nasty monsters like Twisty Hani.
