Effect on Shiren
You will be unable to move from the same spot on the floor for a few turns. You can still attack, access your inventory and use Items.
How to get affected
Immobilization Trap
- Walk over and trigger an Immobilization Trap. Immobilized for 5 turns.
- Examine Shiren's underfoot and manually trigger an Immobilization Trap. Immobilized for 4 turns.
Parthenos Family Monster
- Stand adjacent to an active Parthenos Family Monster that has not been Sealed, and is not a Baby Tengu Family Monster in disguise, and try to move in any direction. Only lasts for a single turn.
How to cure
Immobilization Trap
- Wait 5 turns if the trap was triggered unintentionally, 4 turns if the trap was manually triggered. (Includes the turn that the trap was triggered.)
- Transforming into a Monster by consuming Monster Meat or by the magic ability of a Skull Wizard with a transform effect, will allow Shiren to escape the trap.
Parthenos Family Monster
- Defeat the monster.
- Inflict 'Confusion' on the monster.
- 'Paralyze' or 'Postpone' the monster.
- Displacing the monster from Shiren using Items such as a Knockback Staff, throwing them out of the floor as a Tiger Uho Family Monster or ramming them away as a Dremlas Family Monster.
- Hiding inside a Jar for a few turns, using a Jar of Hiding or as a N'Duba Family Monster.
- Transform them into a different monster by successfully throwing Monster Meat.
- Inflict the 'Sealed' status on them by swinging or throwing a Sealing Staff, or by successfully throwing a Curse Trap or a Unequip Trap at them.
Trivia
- The description for the 'immobilized' status isn't entirely accurate. During the 'Shiren 1/Gameplay Elements/States/Paralyzed' status, Shiren cannot move, attack, or use items for a few turns, however, while immobilized, Shiren is only unable to move but can still act.
- When immobilized by a Parthenos Family Monster, the 'immobilized' status does not appear on the menu.
