Prevent Recovery	The Right Stuff

Pick up the Staff of Paralysis and move into the next room.
Swing the Staff of Paralysis at the Cursed Girl in front of you.
Move to South East corner of the room and swing again at the Gather to the North West.
Now travel around the two paralyzed monsters (using diagonal movements where possible).
Head for the Stairway!
