Shiren 1 DS:Blastwave Scroll

The Blastwave Scroll (Japanese: 真空切りの巻物) is a Scroll introduced to the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1. Reading this scroll will damage all Monsters (red map entities) in your current room. If there are no enemies in the room, nothing will happen. Using a Blastwave Scroll in a hallway will deal damage only to enemies that are within a 3x3 area around Shiren, including monsters inside walls and Invisible monsters.

Using the scroll by itself (without using any Power Up Scrolls), has shown to deal 21-37 damage to enemies, regardless of their individual defense.

Tips for use

• Can easily weaken all enemies in a Monster House, reading Power Up Scrolls prior can further increase damage.
• A Blastwave Scroll will deal 21-37 damage, instantly defeating any level of the Shiren 1/Monsters/Dead Soldier Family, which otherwise only take 1 damage from most attacks.

Things to Avoid

• Reading a Blastwave Scroll in a Shop will damage the Shopkeeper (because they are red entities on the map) who will be provoked and can easily kill Shiren.
