Peaches (Japanese: 普通の仙桃) are edible items that appear in Shiren the Wanderer 5 and 5 Plus. There are four variants of them in total.

Summary

Peaches are food items that replenish your fullness and give you an effect. They are a main source of nutrition alongside Onigiri. Peaches ripen and rot naturally, from Hard Peach to Peach, to Juicy Peach, and finally to Rotten Peach. Peaches only turn into the next form when you change floors, and only when they are in the main inventory. (chance of ripening / rotting is 33-50%? Template:Data Needed) Unlike Rotten Onigiri, there is no way to recover a Rotten Peach into a more useful form.

Hard Peach, Peach and Juicy Peach have useful magic effects. The nutrition value and price increase as the peach ripens, but there are situations where an earlier form may be preferred for its magical effect.

  • Hard Peach gives you Bolstered status, which increases your defense while on the current floor.
  • Peach removes all your status ailments and restores your strength to the maximum.
  • Juicy Peach gives you Enduring status, which lets you survive a fatal hit at 1 HP.

Once a peach is in a desired form, it can be stored in a Preservation Pot for later use. Store any Juicy Peaches before changing floors, since there is a chance they will rot. Stepping on a Decay Trap will turn all types of Peaches in the main inventory into Rotten Peaches.

Peaches also restore night abilities, though the specific chance or number of abilities restored by each form is unknown. (research?)
