Effect on Shiren
Shiren will miss all melee attacks. Ranged attacks such as firing Arrows, swinging Staves, reading Scrolls or throwing Items.
How to get affected
There are a few ways to be inflicted with this status condition:
- Miss Hermits can make Shiren fail main attacks for 5 turns
- Read a Scroll of Failure
- Get hit by a magic bolt from a Failure Staff
How to cure
The only way to get rid of this status condition is to wait until the effect wears off, or by transforming into a monster by eating its Meat.
A Homing Blade or a weapon with its seal will guarantee that all attacks hit their target, even while affected by this state[Citation needed].
