Introduction

The Deep Ruins (Japanese: 遺跡の奥底) is a post-game dungeon which has the unique feature of having no map, hallways and as a result no directly connected rooms, and most items generated will be Pickaxes.

Dungeon strategy

Though you can bring items in, having to dig your way to the goal of the dungeon without a map to see your exact location is already challenging. After you dig a certain amount of walls, the floor will turn into a great hall.[Citation needed]

You are given three Pickaxes at the start, and most of the items you'll find are Gitan bags and Pickaxes. If all your Pickaxes break, you won't get more of them, thus you will be trapped with no way out. Because of this, it is recommended to bring at least one Escape Scroll so you don't have to give up and lose everything you have on hand. An Antihunger Armband is highly recommended since you may starve while you're digging and trying to find the exit.

After you reach the initial goal at floor 20, you get the Satori Pickaxe, which won't ever break from digging and can be added to your weapon as a seal. The goal will also change to 99 Fl and will stay there permanently.
