Friend Areas (Japanese: ともだちエリア) are small areas in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team where recruited Pokémon appear. are purchased from Wigglytuff, at the Wigglytuff Club found in Pokémon Square. Most of them will not be able to be bought until the player finishes the main story while others can automatically be obtained once the player recruits a certain Pokémon, such as Stratos Lookout. The Friend Area of the partner and the player themselves will also be obtained automatically at the beginning of the game.
