States (Japanese: ステータス), or status conditions, can inflict Torneko, monsters and characters via monsters, traps and items. They inflict and provide various positive and negative effects on Torneko and can make a world of difference when it comes to survival.

States

The following list happens on both Torneko and the targeted monsters.

Effect State Description Effect on Monsters

Negative Blindness 目つぶし The screen goes black. Torneko has a higher chance to miss attacks. Enemies walk in random directions and have a higher chance to miss attacks.
Confusion 混乱 No matter what direction you move, Torneko will move in a random direction. When attacking, Torneko will attack in a random direction, meaning he can attack in a different direction than you're facing. Moves in random directions.
Fear くちなし Torneko is unable to attack, nor can he uses items. Enemy runs away from you.
Sleep 眠り Torneko becomes unable to act. Enemy becomes unable to act.
