Traps (Japanese: 罠) are found on the floors and cause various effects when tripped. They cannot be seen unless stepping on them, or swinging with a weapon over them. Normally, Monsters will not be affected by traps.

Common Traps
The following traps will begin to appear at the third floor of every dungeons present in the game. The further the player goes, the more traps will appear.[1]

Arrow | 矢 | Is shot with a Wood Arrow dealing damage regardless of defense. | Stepped on a switch! Look out! It's a flying arrow! | |
Bear | トラばさみ | Prevents moving from the spot for 5 turns. Can still use items and attack | Caught in a bear trap! | |
Gas | 睡眠ガス | Will fall Asleep for 5 turns and cannot act or use items. | Argh! Sleeping gas! | |
Mine | 地雷 | Deals damage equal to half of current HP to the activator. | Stepped on a mine! | |
Pitfall | 落とし穴 | Sends you to to the next floor down. | Damn! A pitfall! | |
Poison Arrow | 毒矢 | Is shot with a Poison Arrow which reduces Strength by 1 and HP regardless of defense. | Stepped on a switch! Look out! It's a poison arrow! | |
