Rescues, first introduced in the original File:Game Boy Color Logo.svg release of Magic Caste of the Desert, due to their popularity ChunSoft brought them back in most future games in some way that usually function via local wireless, passwords or the internet. For the most part, their functionality and purpose has changed very little and is often found to be exploited by fans in both the English and Japanese communities.
