Article description: (description )This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Companion Mode (Japanese: なかまモード, Companion Mode) is a mode in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. It's unlocked the day after seeing the Glacier Palace in the distance for the first time. Companion Mode is accessed by opening the menu by pressing X outside of a dungeon. The same menu allows going back to (hero) Mode. Each time Companion Mode is accessed, the player is asked to choose a team member as the Pokémon to play as. When in Companion Mode, the story doesn't advance, text boxes look different and the player can't go to Post Town. Because of this dungeons can't be accessed without accepting a mission and some of Post Town's shop owners are in Paradise Center instead when playing in Companion Mode. The game's local multiplayer features can only be accessed from this mode. |
