Composition: traditional Japanese instrumentation (presumably [[wikipedia:hyōshigi|hyōshigi]], [[wikipedia:koto (instrument)|koto]], [[wikipedia:shakuhachi|shakuhachi]]). It opens with a [koto] solo intro: a rising phrase within A minor [[wikipedia:pentatonic scale|pentatonic scale]], then has a [hyōshigi] intermission and repeats slower. The following D minor main phrase played by the [shakuhachi]: D-F-E-A, with a supporting [second sakuhachi]. The main phrase plays in several variations, modulating and leading back to D minor's dominant. During the resolution, the music slows down. Doesn't loop.
