The Rescue Team DX Jigsaw Puzzle is an interactive digital jigsaw puzzle based on the cover art of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. It can be played on the Play Nintendo website.[1]

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

The puzzle features 3 different difficulties, based on the number of puzzle pieces selected.

  • Easy (8 pieces)
  • Medium (18 pieces)
  • Hard (50 pieces)

Upon starting the puzzle, the pieces are shuffled around the screen with edges to store pieces. When placed near their match, pieces will snap together and can then be moved around together. The screen features a timer in the upper right corner. In the bottom left corner is Preview, Shuffle Pieces, Start Over. In the bottom left is an option to go full screen. When the puzzle is completed, it will either play a balloon animation, or a fireworks animation.

Development[edit | edit source]

The software was written in Javascript by We The Collective to be used for several jigsaw puzzle games on the Play Nintendo website. The image files of the puzzle pieces are actually empty, and only the full version of the picture needs to be uploaded to the site, making it very easy for the developers to have different puzzles to promote different games.

A world of Pokémon[edit | edit source]

The world of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX game is inhabited only by Pokémon! You can try to put together this puzzle inspired by the game. You can choose between Easy (8 pieces), Medium (18 pieces), or Hard (50 pieces).[1]
