Shiren 4 PSP:Differences from the DS release
The PlayStation Portable port of Shiren 4 contains numerous differences from the Nintendo DS release of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 4 - The Eye of God and the Devil's Navel.
Major and Minor Changes
Blessings and Curses
Projectiles and Spells can no longer be blessed, sealed, or Cursed. In the Nintendo DS release, cursed projectiles and Spells couldn't be unequipped, nor could they be used, should they be cursed. This was remedied by removing this option from projectiles and talismans entirely.
Due to this change, some of the items required to level up the Borg Mamel (Japanese: ボーグマムル) have changed.
Dungeons
- The PSP version features three additional Post-credits dungeons:
- (Japanese: 草と巻物の洞窟)
- (Japanese: 不思議の商店街)
- (Japanese: 修羅の道)
Pots
- Items can be inserted into Jars if they're stackable and the jar isn't full.
Screen Size
The screen is wider, allowing for a greater field of view. The Super Torch (Japanese: すごい松明) field of view has been adjusted.
Twitter Link
The PSP version originally allowed players to tweet pictures, send rescue requests, revival codes, and thank you mail via Twitter. This feature is now defunct.
Minor Changes
- Tsunamis no longer occur.
- Songs from Asuka the Swordswoman and Magic Castle DS have been replaced with those of other games.
