The Staff of Paralysis (Japanese: ???) is a Staff in Game Boy Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer GB - Monster of Moonlight Village. When swung, it will fire a bolt that will paralyse a Monster or Character until they are interacted with again.

Tips For Use

  • Using a Staff of Paralysis on a monster in a hallway or entrance of a room can be used to block Shiren off from the rest of the floor, allowing him to pass turns to regenerate HP, or rearrange his inventory.
  • Provided you or a monster doesn't interact with the targeted monster after being paralysed, they will not be a threat for the duration of the floor.
  • Certain monsters are more useful to Shiren alive, and keeping them alive without them attacking you, following you, or simply moving around can be convenient - for example, Dead Soldiers.
